The RMA Underwater Robotics Club participated in a Regional Competition in New Bern this weekend. Our Middle School teams took home multiple awards for the event. The overall Middle school awards went to our following teams:
1st: Hydroplanes (Noah, Andrew, Zavier, Josiah)
2nd: Watergurgles ( Kaydance, Alexia, Keria)
3rd: Underwater Ultimates (Emerson, Amitoj, Noah)
The teams competed with handmade Robots they designed to accomplish specific tasks and overcome various challenges underwater. Occasionally the robots would become damaged during the event and students would need to put their skills in motion to quickly repair them before their next event. This was a high stress environment for our MS students and they rose to the task swimmingly. Great job URC!
