Welcome to Coach Griffin's Class

My virtual office hours will be from 10:00am-11:00am and 3:00pm to 4:00pm Monday through Friday. I will promptly respond to any emails during this time. Emails sent outside of this time frame will be responded to within 24 hours. If there is anything I can do to help during this time please let me know.


Elementary PE

River Mill Academy School will be closed until May 15th. During this absence, student work will be completed online through teacher webpages. And submitted by email.

Please make sure you are staying active. Aim for at least 60 minutes a day of physical activity. I strongly encourage cardiovascular activities such as running, jumping jacks, jumping rope, etc. Please refer to these link for ideas on what can be done at home while school is not in session.

Over the duration of this week we will be covering physical education and working on getting active and living healthy lifestyles. Below you will find documents to a Fitness Journal that we encourage students to incorporate physical activity into their daily lives. Please document student performance on the provided log on page three of the PDF. You can print just the log from the 6th grade health tab under assignments. This is the only graded portion of the assignment. Please initial in the boxes as proof that the assignment has been completed. If additional workouts were completed write those in as well. At the end of the week please email a picture or the document itself to my email. In the subject line of the email include your student's name and grade level. The journal will be due each Sunday by 11:59pm for a weekly PE grade.

Fill in each section of the chart each day. Instruction for each column header is explained in the packet. The Daily Challenge instructions are on page 4 of the packet. The Tabata Section can be found on page 5 and 6 of the packet. Have fun and stay active!
