Exam Exemptions for High School

Exam Exemptions for High School
Posted on 05/10/2018
Exam ExemptionsHigh school students may be exempt from final examinations in classes where they have maintained an “A” average throughout the course and have 3 or fewer absences (excused or unexcused). Students may not exempt a state mandated assessment regardless of the grade they have earned in the class.

Teachers will verify students grades and attendance and students will be issued a letter with their exemption status.  The students must return the letter signed by a parent to their teacher on or before the assigned exam day in order to be counted as exempt. If the form is not returned and signed, the student will be required to take the final exam. Failure to report on the assigned date and time will result in a failure of the exam.
